Does anyone know the name of the second opening band that played at Harpo's on January 28th, with Sonata Arctica headlining?

I really liked them but they didn't say their name. =/

This just in

Torture My Kat Records and Ripped Heart Productions are planning a festival to be held at Jamestowne Hall in Saginaw, MI.

It was going to be called. "TMK Records Fest."

Now it's going to be called, "Jamestownefest!"

For those of you that have been to the hall you know all about it. For those who haven't...it's an awesome place for shows!
I want to have music playing constantly. So we are thinking about putting a small P.A. on the porch for Acoustic sets or something like that. This makes it possible for all sorts of genres to be able to play.

Because festivals are hard to monitor this will probably be a bracelet show. So if we walk around outside or inside and see anyone without a bracelet we will have them pay. That was everyone pays and supports local music!

This is mainly a show for exposure. Although, if the show does extremely well...bands will of course get paid. I plan on inviting all the local labels to check out the show as well. If anyone bands are interested comment here or email. Put in the subjest line...Jamestownefest!

x-posted all over!

I guess I joined this community because.....

Even though Harpos is by far the shittiest venue in Detroit it also has more history than just about any other venue around here (minus St. Andrews of course).

And who doesn't love the immense heat in the summertime at a Harpos show...

I haven't been there in too long...and I almost got into a fight last time I went. But Harpos will always hold a special place in my heart.

I found this fact under the "did you know" section of blacklabelsociety.net

Did you know That Harpo's in Detroit MI was left completely dry during the filming of Boozed Broozed & Broken Boned? It was the first time in the concert hall's history that all of the alcohol had been consumed.

that is fucking awesome
